EUREKA MOMENT ADVICE:
An inspirational touring exhibition developed by the children's museum, Eureka! will be available for hire at venues across the UK from early next year.
Explore the Eureka! Moment is designed to encourage children aged 3-12 to explore and recognise their own creativity, and features a series of multi-media exhibits, puzzles and interactives which reflect Eureka!'s 'learning through play' ethos.
One of the key elements of the 110m2 exhibition, 'The Big Brain' allows children to explore the act of creativity as it happens and discover where new ideas come from, how inventions become a reality and how problems lead to solutions. In other areas children are encouraged to generate new ideas and develop their own creative abilities through fun hands-on activities.
The exhibition has been enjoyed by thousands of families at venues in Yorkshire and Humber since it was launched in May 2004, including Bradford Industrial Museum and York Museum and Gardens.
Explore the Eureka! Moment can be configured to fit most spaces and is available for a minimum three month hire period. The exhibition is supported by a full set of marketing materials and educational resources.
For further details about the exhibition, price and availability please contact Tudor Gwynn, Exhibitions Director on 01422 330069 or email: tudor.gwynn@eureka.org.uk

COLOUR (by MUBA):

To play with colours, to explore tastes and scents that colours evoke as well as the emotions they may express: these are some of the themes of COLOUR, the sixth exhibition by Muba. The exhibition is an intense experience focused on the perception of colour. In spite of being an essential element of our lives, colours are often experienced in a distant and passive way: the playful installations of the exhibition COLOUR have been conceived in order to make children aware of coulour's importance. Children are invited to discover and observe colours in all the exhibits. The children are welcomed in a big spaceship, called Without Colour, where special lights cancel the colours: how would be the world be without colours? A very successful exhibit is Colour in order: how many reds do we know, how can we classify colours? The Colour of nature: the children play “hiding” the colours of plants and animals on a big painted panel which represents a colourful natural landscape. Space and colour: consists of a series of tunnel which are identical but seem to be different because of colours and textures. Into colour: diving into red or into yellow in a complete physical experience (watch, touch, smell, feel). Colour's square: is a huge magnetic wall were each child can add colour shapes to contribute to a great mosaique. Colour market: the shop is always fun, but even funnier if you have to pay attention to the influence that colour has on your product perception. A different kind of animation takes place at Wearing colour, where children are supposed to express their feelings with appropriate colours.

LIFE IN FULL COLOUR

Use your five senses to the full, and you will receive more "gifts" from life.
Life and the five senses are here lived in an interconnected way.
Opening us to the world... Looking at it very carefully... Living it while we discover... Expressing our feelings... These are the only requirements needed forour involvement and understanding of this exhibit.
To enrich us through new discoveries, invent, imagine, create and share in a magic of multiple sensations is the enticing suggestion of «Life in full colour».

HELLO, MR. FEAR!

This exhibition invites children to learn and accept its own fears as a part of life.
Understand that, after all, it is natural do grow up in different manners, at different times; that ideas, imagination and creativity are specific to each one of  us, making us unique beings; that good and bad moods can be contagious; that laughing is important for our well-being, and that there is so much to discover.
